Dougs VW Werks
We gave our pride and joy to Doug to get a full body restoration, respray, LPG install and MoT. What we now have is an absolute work of art which is so much more than we ever expected, price was to budget and we had no complaints whatsoever. The attention to detail, quality of work, technical ability and all round good eggness is just outstanding. Doug & his team now get all our servicing and lil niggles to fix on the bus and I cannot recommend his services highly enough. A real breath of fresh air in this day and age, thanks a whole bunch again Doug. Sean & Laura :-)

Doug helped us in the summer (as did many kind others!) to get our bus sorted and just knowing we can get an honest opinion at anytime is a godsend.
No opinion of any of the others as we haven't had the pleasure, but have, and will continue to recommed Doug to anyone with bus or bug trouble.

Got the bay back from Doug yesterday. What a transformation :D I took a non running, very sick fire hazard to him and he returned a bus that probably runs better than when it left VW 39 years ago. I won't go into the numerous problems he found, I'm sure if you buy him a pint he'll tell you the full horror story of previous bodges.
I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending his work. This is not news to many of you but for newbies looking for someone who knows their way around the old aircooled motors, he is your man.

Doug you were an angel from above who rescued our shed (as we thought of it then) and then with oodles of positivity and know-how brought our camper dream back to life (and saved us a £packet by doing it all before a deadline). Paula and I are eternally grateful.

I have come to the conclusion that I am a difficult man to please, at least my wife always tells me so! A few months ago I had the pleasure of meeting Doug at his VW business in Angmering, he was recommended by a family friend who also owns a T25. (You know who you are DI!)
Since our first chat he has fitted very professionally in my view, a full Westfalia LHD interior into our RHD van, which works impeccably and in my humble opinion really looks good and functions as it should do. Further to this he has refitted our Diesel Eberspacher and for the first time in two years I have a van (Aircooled) which gets hot, seriously unbelievably bloody hot. So much so that as I was driving along my three year old daughter started fidgeting like mad in the seat next to me, I asked her what was wrong and she ignored me and started to rip her outer clothes off!!
He also tweaked the engine which is the 2L Aircooled one and this now runs better, starts better (rebuilt starter), and is more economical (not dramatic but noticeable in this day and age when fuel and LPG are so expensive)
I cannot recommend Doug enough, a bloody good egg!
